Seminar 6- International Trip to Italy


I passed on this trip due to conflict in personal schedule. I do have the opportunity to attend the next international trip.

 Seminar 4- Santa Fe Understanding the State Political Processes of the 56 th New Mexico Legislature at the Roundhouse The first lesson learned was everyone kept saying, “It’s a 30-day session.” In my mind, I wanted to know what that meant right away. Little did we, the New Mexico Agricultural Leadership (NMAL) Class 16, knew they are attending the 56 th New Mexico Legislature 30-day session instead of a 60-day session at the Roundhouse. Right away, it seems when it is a 60-day session, there is a lot more action (more bills) at the Santa Fe Roundhouse. The NM Legislature began on January 16 th and ended on February 15, 2024.  July 10, 2023- Monday Hi. Welcome to Bernadette's first blog. What was the most interesting? The most interesting of Seminar 1 was the orientation and the introductions. When we all first met one another. We each introduced ourselves to one another. What topics do you want to know more about? I would like to know more about the state of New Mexico's top five exports and imports. I would like to know more about the political process from the state level to the national level. I would like to know more about the agricultural industries in New Mexico (NM). For example, the cheese factories or shrimp farms (if NM has any). How will you apply this experience/knowledge to your professional and/or personal life? I will apply and share this experience/knowledge in my job, and in general to family and friends.  Seminar 5- Natural Resources and Agricultural in Southeastern New Mexico Artesia and Clovis, NM | April 10-12, 2024 What is HF Sinclair? At certain gas stations, there are green dinosaur figures in front of them, also known as Dino Marts. Ever wonder about that green dinosaur? Wonders never cease to amaze that there is a production story about that green dinosaur. The green dinosaur represents an energy company fueling America. The interesting concept is that it is part of the agricultural cycle of how to produce energy. This is what New Mexico Agriculture Leadership (NMAL) Class 16 learned. They visited the HP Sinclair Pre-Treatment Unit (PTU) and the Renewable Diesel Unit (RDU) in Artesia, NM on April 11, 2024. Upon arrival, on the outside, we first drove through the PTU and RDU facilities, then toured the inside of each unit.
